ABSTRACT
The conventional approach to surgical training has long followed a master-apprentice model, where experienced surgeons teach trainees in a patient-involved setting. This method has effectively educated surgeons for many years. However, the swift advancement in surgical methodologies and shifts in health care dynamics have revealed significant shortcomings in this traditional model. Surgeons have traditionally honed their skills by practicing on specimens. However, the challenge of obtaining specimens, accompanied by recent major technological advancements, has led to the creation of innovative training methods, including 3 dimensional virtual training, digital box training, and robotic surgery training.
